Michael Holmes is a writer, editor, and cultural critic. He is the author of several books of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction, including Parts Unknown: Wrestling, Gimmicks and Other Works (Insomniac Press, 2004), which takes as its premise the sport of professional wrestling. He is interested in the intersections between sport and poetry, particularly how sport can exist in the realm of artistic spectacle that relies on audience involvement and a suspension of disbelief. He is currently Poetry Editor at ECW Press.
